With the arts under fire and marginalized communities under threat, we as an ensemble have made community and artistic resistance our priority. It's in the bones and cells of our mission and our work. Sooooo...
We’re back in the saddle, baby! After expanding our membership earlier this year, we are doubling down on our decade-long practice of developing and premiering new plays. This includes workshopping a brand new, star-spangled, company-devised show, I Am an American (via Los Angeles), for REDCAT's 22nd annual NOW Fest!
With I Am an American (via Los Angeles), AMMO is tapping into the complex weave of identities and experiences that constitute American life here in Southern California, and we’re doing it with that classic AMMO irreverence and possibly (with your help) a musical dance break, and like maybe a giant eagle costume**??
Our goal is to reach the $35k mark by November 6th (Opening night!) and $50k by the end of the year to support our programming through 2026!

Ammunition Theatre Company (AMMO) was born from a desire to accelerate representation in the arts, explore identity in an evolving America, and shift mainstream storytelling towards more inclusive narratives. Based in Los Angeles, AMMO is inclusive by design. A vivid, passionate membership reflects the diversity of our community, and the work we develop prioritizes underrepresented artists.
