Our Mission
The Common Heart Hunger Walk is an opportunity to come together to raise awareness about hunger in our community and raise funds to support Common Heart's food pantry programs.
On Sunday, March 2, 2025, we will gather together with over 450 folks in our community take steps to end local hunger!
In Union County, it's estimated over 25,000 adults and children are hungry or facing the threat of hunger. That’s approximately 10.5% of the residents of our county. 1 in 6 children in Union County live in homes facing food insecurity.
Common Heart's food pantries are a lifeline for our hungry neighbors. Each month, over 5,500 individuals are served through 14 pantry programs.
So why do we walk?
We walk to raise awareness about our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
We walk to raise funds to provide food, to meet an immediate need.
We walk to be a part of a small revolution of kindness.
