Harrison Lacrosse Wall Ball Challenge
This challenge requires commitment. 5 days per week, 5 drills, 100 repetitions per drill. If you finish the contest, you and your teammates will see amazing results on the field. Find a wall or rebounder and conduct the following routine:
DRILL #1: Throw Strong, Catch Strong
DRILL #2: Throw Weak, Catch Weak
DRILL #3: Throw Strong, Cross-Catch Strong: Holding the stick with ball on your strong shoulder, throw the ball up and onto the wall. Without moving either hand on the stick, bring your top hand and stick across your body so that you can catch the ball on the opposite shoulder as it comes off of the wall at the same angle it was thrown onto the wall. Catch the ball with your top hand across your chest. Bring the head and ball back across your chest and repeat.
DRILL #4: Same as #3, but Throw Weak, Catch Strong
DRILL #5: Throw Strong, Catch Strong, Quickly Change Hands, Throw Weak, Catch Weak
After you finish, make sure that you log your reps. Good luck.
How it works
- Between December 1, 2023, and March 4, 2024, we are holding a Wall Ball Challenge Fundraiser.
- Click "Sign Up" at the top of the page.
- Estimate how many wall balls you’ll complete during the challenge. We expect each player to set a goal of at least 30,000 wall ball reps during the 12-week period (but the more reps you do, the better!).
- Reach out to friends and family to ask if they’ll support your efforts by donating to you! They can make a pledge per wall ball or donate a flat amount to your efforts.
- When you hit the wall, one successful throw and catch is considered a repetition. Remember to log your wall ball reps each day. This is an honor system.
- Keep an eye on the Leaderboard to see how your teammates are doing.
- At the end of the challenge, the top fundraiser and player with the most wall ball reps will be awarded a gift.
