Bird with community. Bird for a cause. Bird for Palestine.

We invite bird enthusiasts across the globe to join Feminist Bird Club in our third annual radically-inclusive birdathon to #BirdYourWay between October 17 and October 20, 2025. Let’s amplify and support Birders of Palestine by #BirdingForABetterWorld !

How It Works

This free, inclusive event is meant to explore ways to maximize the joy that birds bring us, and no prior birding experience is necessary to participate.

When you join the campaign, you'll be able to choose how you'd like to #BirdYourWay, i.e. choose your preferred birding activity to track during our campaign (October 17 through October 20). That could mean...

  • tracking your total bird species found

  • recording your hours spent in nature

  • tracking your lifers (a.k.a "new for you" birds!)

  • counting the number of bird species found while birding-in-place (including through virtual birding livestreams)

  • making note of the number of birding checklists you submit (via eBird or iNaturalist)

We recognize that birding can look different for everyone and we hope these options inspire and challenge you to bird YOUR way.

The Birdathon is free to join, but registration is recommended for you to get the most out of this peer-to-peer fundraiser. You'll receive your own personal fundraising page that will also grant you access to our community space— where you can share your bird joy and be inspired by fellow birders who are also birding for a cause!
