Our Purpose

MELE Associates will hold its 3rd Annual DEFY Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, August 10, 2026.

The tournament will be held at The Links at Challedon in Mt. Airy, MD. Registration and breakfast begin at 8AM with a shotgun start scheduled for 9AM. MELE is covering all of the tournament costs so that 100% of the proceeds generated will go to Pelotonia and innovative cancer research.

MELE's DEFY Charity Golf Tournament is inspired by the amazing life and legacy of Wendy Chioji. Wendy was the beloved daughter of MELE's CEO Mel Chiogioji and the sister of company President Al Chiogioji. She defied the odds in her multiple battles with cancer before passing away in 2019 to thymic carcinoma.
