Palatine High School is proud to partner with Team UA in support of Uplifting Athletes. It’s been an incredible experience working with our student-athletes this season and getting them engaged in a mission that reaches far beyond the field.
Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of individuals and families impacted by rare disease.
Team UA is Uplifting Athletes’ signature fundraising and advocacy initiative — powered by students at colleges and universities across the country, along with select high school and youth programs like ours. The challenges facing the rare disease community are bigger than any one athlete, team, or school can take on alone.
Our athletes at Palatine High School take pride in using their platform to shine a light on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes — ensuring no one feels alone in their fight.

Life for Lift
Lift for Life at Palatine High School is a high energy, student athlete led fundraiser where strength meets purpose. Palatine student athletes come together to turn training and competition into impact, raising funds and awareness for Uplifting Athletes and the rare disease community. Leading up to the event, teams rally their friends, family, and supporters to help reach their fundraising goals. On event day, athletes bring that momentum to life through a series of strength and endurance challenges that highlight teamwork, competition, and school spirit. Teams can earn points through performance, fundraising, and creativity as the entire Palatine community rallies around the cause. At its core, Lift for Life is about student athletes using their platform to lead, give back, and make a real difference. Every rep. Every challenge. Every dollar raised moves the mission forward.
Our 2026 Lift for Life Chair - Kole Fager
Our campaign is led by Kole Fager, a senior standout on the Palatine High School football team and a committed future Princeton Tiger. Kole brings the same leadership, work ethic, and heart to Team UA that he shows on the field. As our Campaign Champion, he’s stepping up to use his platform for something bigger than football—rallying teammates, classmates, and the Palatine community to support the rare disease community and make a meaningful impact this season.
Uplifting Athletes is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 that harnesses the power of sport to build a community that invests in the lives of people impacted by rare diseases. Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $9 million by engaging athletes in order to positively impact the rare disease community through driving action and funding research.
