Resources to guide your walk-a-thon experience
Need help getting started? We've complied a list of useful resources for this walk-a-thon campaign.
Fundraising Resources
Don't know where to start on fundraising? Don't worry, we got you! We have put together a Fundraising Toolkit with tips, message/text templates, and social media templates for you to share about our walk-a-thon.
Need a bit of guidance on navigating and sending donor invitations to your network directly from Pledge It fundraising page? Check the video below!
We have a QR code, fliers, and graphics available for you to use as well.
Documenting Miles
There are a couple of different ways to log your miles for this walk-a-thon.
Pledge It can connect with an existing Strava account. Let the app log your miles for you!
Don't use Strava? No worries. You can manually log in your miles.
You can use your smart watch or any health/fitness app to track your miles.
Not tech savvy? You can also use a free service online to map the route you plan to take or have taken. It should calculate the miles for you as well.
Walking Solo Resources
We want all of our participants to be safe during the walk-a-thon. Whether you are walking solo or in a group, always make sure to:
Let someone know where you are walking and for how long
Keep an eye on your surroundings.
If you are able to, carry pepper spray or a sound alarm.
Upload pictures after you have left a location, especially if your social media profile is public.
Be prepared for unexpected weather.
Carry essential provisions, like water and snacks, for a bit more than your planned walk.
