Operation McVicker

Run, walk, or bike in the month of October for our Nation's Veterans. #MilesAreTheMission

$1,901Raised of $10,000

Making a Difference in the Veteran Community

The premise of Operation McVicker is to challenge participants to run, walk, or bike 50, 100, or a custom amount of miles in the month of October while raising money for our Nation's disabled Veterans. Create your own personal fundraising page, log your miles, and urge your friends and family to donate per mile you complete!

Operation McVicker is your chance to help support some of the 4.7 million disabled Veterans in the United States of America. The brave men and women of the United States Armed Services have served us, now it's our turn to serve them. Every dollar raised through Operation McVicker will go towards our Adaptive Warrior program that funds home renovations for disabled Veterans. Every mile and every dollar counts.

Operation McVicker is named after SGT Kanon McVicker, our first ever Adaptive Warrior Recipient.

How it Works

Step 1: Create your fundraising page.

Step 2: Get Donors to pledge a donation per mile you run, walk, or bike (I.E. $1 per mile).

Step 3: Start running, walking, or biking in October and logging your miles on your page.

If a Donor pledges $1 for every mile you complete, their donation will grow by $1 for every mile you log on your page. Now that's some motivation! If you're a Strava user, you can link your Strava account to your Operation McVicker page to allow for automatic updates.

They Served us. Now it’s our Turn.

In the United States, there are currently 4.7 million disabled Veterans. Many of these disabled Veterans have housing and vehicle needs that are strenuous and expensive. This is where the Stronger Warrior Foundation, and most importantly, you come in. Join us in providing peace of mind for our Nation’s Veterans by running, walking, or biking and raising money for much needed adaptive housing and vehicle modifications.
