2024 Indiana Golf Week of Giving
Indiana Golf has launched a $6.5 million Capital Campaign. Indiana Golf has launched a four pillar Capital Campaign with the new Pete and Alice Dye Indiana Golf Center at the forefront. The additional three pillars to the campaign include the Indiana Golf Trailer, support of our First Tee program locations and Scholarships to support First Tee-Indiana participants.
One of the Pillars Beyond the Building is the Capital improvements to First Tee Program Locations who have graciously hosted First Tee programming. The initial focus has been to enhance the facilities at Frederick Douglass Golf Course to include a netted driving range, a practice green and bunker complex. We are working on finalizing the plans for the netted driving range and hitting bays that will be incorporated at Fredrick Douglass.
“I’m excited about the netting going up at Douglass! The participants of First Tee always want to hit the “real” golf balls and the net will give them the opportunity to do so prior to going on the course. I’m eager to see how the participants will respond. The net will be popular for First Tee participants and all that visit Douglass Golf Course. I look forward to incorporating the net into my games for the upcoming season” Alex Pettigrew, First Tee Coach.
The other campaign pillar that is being highlighted is the First Tee Scholarships. This will support the 85,000+ we have in the First Tee School Program and Community Programs with scholarship opportunities to attend the life skills programming at local golf courses.
