Shirts & Merch

If you registered by our Sept. 8 deadline to get a free t-shirt with registration, you can pick it up on the day of the walk. If you are on a team, they will be in your team tent area on the morning of the walk. If you are not on a team, you will pick up your shirt from the registration tent once we verify that you are eligible.

T-shirts and other DSADE merch will be for sale on a first-come first-served basis at our Merch Tent.

Connect with other DSADE Families

We invite you to join DSADE Outreach Coordinator Susan Blessington at our New Families Tent, DSADE Spanish Outreach Coordinator Ari Avila at our DSADE Spanish Outreach Tent, and DSADE mom Tauheedah at our DSADE African American/Black Families Tent. These tents will be stationed near our team tents (see map).

How It Works

Many members of our community have been attending this event for over 10 years... but each year we get the pleasure of welcoming first-timers into our community! For new- AND old-timers, here's a bit of clarification about how this event works. There are two options for registration:

  • Family Fun Day: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., we'll have music, a photo booth, food and sweet treat vendors, face painting, inflatables, and more—everything to entertain your family and to celebrate our one-of-a-kind community. The main staple of our Family Fun Day is our Awareness Loop, a short walk of .2 miles where we show off our DSADE pride and walk in honor of the ones we love!

  • 5K: At 10 a.m., a 5k for Down syndrome will kick off! This will take place around the entire park, and awards will be given by age group and gender. Our 5k is in collaboration with Fusion Racing. 5k participants are welcome to join us for our whole Family Fun Day—no extra registration is required.

All attendees are invited to either join or start their own fundraising team! Fundraising teams work together in advance of the event to rally friends, families, and neighbors to support our mission. A fundraising team can be a group of family and friends, a business, a community group, and more—any group of people who want to make an impact! On the day of the walk, teams celebrate their efforts under their team tents and enjoy the day's festivities!

IMPORTANT DATES: Register for the walk by Sept. 8 to get a free t-shirt with registration. Teams registered by Oct. 1 get a custom Celebration Poster for their team.
