#Fight4Literacy by joining the Summer Reading Challenge!
Kids read books. Adult sponsors donate for every book read. Struggling readers get the help they need from those donations.

About the Challenge
This summer, we are inviting young readers to read for the benefit of others! Readers get ready to read, sponsors get ready to donate for each book read! Every dollar donated by the team of sponsors will support the #Fight4Literacy, a nationwide program to ensure all children reach their full potential in life by learning to read.
All donations up to $9,500 will be matched dollar for dollar, and for every book completed, readers will be entered into a drawing for “A Year of Chick-fil-A” AND “A Year of Barnes and Noble Books”!
How to Join
To participate, select one (or both!) of these two options:
1. Invite a young reader to join the challenge! Could be your child, niece, or a family friend. Share with them that for every book completed, they will be helping another kid learn to read, PLUS they will have a chance to win Chick-fil-A and books! Pledge the first donation to sponsor this reader and recruit other sponsors to join their team and donate!
2. Join a young reader’s team as a donating sponsor! Support these young reader heroes by pledging a donation amount per book completed.
Challenge Details
Make sure the individual completing the sign-up for a reader is the adult who will serve as the main contact throughout the challenge.
Once you sign a reader up, you will receive a resource kit that will have pre-written emails to help you recruit and thank other donors. It will also contain social media graphics so you can post about what you are doing to help others this summer.
The donation amount is per book completed. Readers, keep this in mind as you invite donors to join your support team. Donating sponsors, keep this in mind as you pledge to give.
If adults want to join the challenge as a reader and recruit a team of donors, go for it! We will reserve the prize drawings for the kiddos. :)
