Your support will help people with Down syndrome in our community
You can impact the lives of people with Down syndrome in our community. The Down Syndrome Association of South Georgia is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization led by volunteer parents and members of our community whose mission is to benefit the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families through support, education, public education and awareness, and advocacy.
This year, we are launching our new medical outreach program, our new elementary school enrichment program, as well as our new teen and adult enrichment program, and your donation will help make these programs a success. The association envisions a community that cultivates a sense of belonging, welcomes people with different abilities, and offers opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome to become contributing members of our community and society.
Join Us for the DSASG 3‑21 Down Syndrome Awareness Walk
Step into a welcoming community event where every step makes a difference. The Down Syndrome Association of South Georgia (DSASG) hosts this walk to raise crucial funds for programs supporting individuals with Down syndrome in Valdosta and surrounding areas. Your support helps expand outreach, offer resources, and create inclusive experiences for families.
Why “3-21” Matters
Our event name honors trisomy 21—three copies of chromosome 21—celebrating every individual’s unique strength and potential. Whether you walk solo or join a team, your participation and fundraising efforts embody that spirit of inclusion and empowerment.
What to Expect
The 3-21 Down Syndrome Awareness Walk will be held at the Hahira Train Depot. This year’s walk will feature live music, interactive booths, face painting, food trucks, bounce houses, games, and informational displays. Registration includes a commemorative t‑shirt and entry into fundraising prize opportunities, and individuals with Down syndrome may register for free.
💙 How You Can Make a Difference

Register early: Advance registration ensures t‑shirt delivery and eligibility for online fundraising prizes.
Sponsor or exhibit: Local businesses and community partners are invited to sponsor or host a booth to increase visibility and outreach.
🎯 Fundraising Goals & Local Impact
Our fundraising target is $55,000, with $31,583 raised last year toward expanding DSASG’s offerings, including new medical outreach programs, school enrichment, and teen/adult activities. Every dollar raised directly supports inclusive opportunities for over 2,000 individuals and families across South Georgia.
