BBBS has impacted youth for 55 years. The agency operates under the belief that every child has the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As part of the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, BBBS makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles) ages 6-18.
Our fundraising supports our matches, activities and programing. It also supports operational costs.
BBBS needs more Bigs to mentor our Littles. Consider volunteering your time to make an impact on a youth. If you can’t volunteer your time, please make a donation to our agency to support our work and mission!
How To Register
Step 1: Sign Up
Click the 'Register' button, select the ticket that represents the date/time that you will be participating. You can join a team, if your team captain has registered or you can create a team and invite others to join you!
All participants are expected to raise a minimum amount to participate, and if you register by December 31, 2024, the minimum registration is $55 in honor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County's 55th anniversary year! This is the Early Bird rate, but remember it's only valid until 12/31/24. Registration after Dec. 31st is $75 per bowler. This fee can be paid when you register or on the day of the event before your bowling shift begins.
Next, select your t-shirt size! Every bowler gets a themed event t-shirt, plus 2 games of bowling and don't forget we are bringing back 9 Pin Tap!
Finally, follow the steps to create your individual fundraising page.
Step 2: Invite Donors
Use the 'Share' button and webpage link automatically created for you to invite friends and family to donate to your event fundraising webpage. You can invite donors through Facebook, X, Instagram, text, and email. The goal is to invite at least 20 people to donate to your fundraising page. Have others help you fundraise to support Big Brothers Big Sisters and get your required registration fee covered.
You can also join a team and fundraise together! Of course we hope you'll take advantage of fundraising more than the required "per bowler" registration fee to participate in our event and help us empower youth. You can even win prizes when you fundraise! Use your influence and set-up your event fundraising webpage and share it amongst your network. Ask your friends to pledge a flat fee or maybe try a per pin pledge or a pledge based on strikes. For example, someone may pledge 50 cents for every pin you knock down. Keep track of your score, post it on your fundraising page at the conclusion of the event and invite those who pledged you per pin to submit their payment via your fundraising page! Be creative, the sky is the limit, and help fundraise for a great cause!
Step 3: Get Ready to Bowl!
Bring on the fun and dress up according to the theme. Be creative, have a team theme and show us your spirt. In fact, the best dressed/creative team that shows the most spirit each shift will win the coveted Team Spirit Award! Post updates throughout your time bowling... These updates can include pictures, videos, and or text. We encourage you to send these to all of your donors through the platform! Most importantly, have fun!!!
