Give back to the place that has shaped so many lives!

2023 marks the 75th Anniversary of YMCA Camp Conrad Weiser. With just a pile of boards and a dream, we first opened in June of 1948 on a 100-acre parcel of land. Today, Camp covers almost 600 acres, with programs stretching into Outdoor and Environmental Education, Curriculum Training, Corporate Conferencing, Kindred Group and Church Retreats, Parent/Child Programs, and more. We serve over 8,500 individuals annually with participants largely drawn from the surrounding communities. Funds raised from this event will help cover the cost of resurfacing our tennis courts and provide much-needed financial assistance so deserving families can help their children experience the magic of Camp!

How it works

  1. Click "Sign Up" at the top of the page.

  2. Two options will appear. If you plan to go solo click "Fundraise on my Own". If you plan to team up, click "Create A Team" if you are the first person to register. If someone else has already created your team, click "Join A Team."

  3. Estimate how many miles you’ll be hiking, running, walking, or riding from March 12th - April 22nd. Whether it's 50, 500, or 5000 miles, there's no amount too big or small!

  4. Reach out to friends and family to ask if they’ll support your efforts by donating to you! They can make a pledge per mile or donate a flat amount to support your efforts.

  5. Log your miles by connecting your Strava account or log them manually directly through the reminder emails you get.

  6. Keep an eye on the leaderboards to see how your friends and competitors are doing!

About Us

The results of our work can be seen in the impact our campers say our programs have in their lives. With the lessons and values our programs instill in the children and families we serve, we strengthen the foundations of community. Our campers learn to respect and value diversity and the contributions of others. They learn to appreciate time outdoors and away from technology. They learn stewardship. They practice our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

WHAT IS THE NEED?

In 2019, our last pre-pandemic year, we awarded more than $110,000 in direct scholarships for children with significant financial need to attend Bynden Wood Day Camp and Camp Conrad Weiser, and also provided support to local school students attending outdoor recreation and environmental education trips to our mountain. These were all children who would qualify to receive free and reduced lunches in their schools. Additionally, we were able to provide more than $154,000 in subsidies for middle class families to send their children to our summer camp programs and for schools that need additional support to bring their students for valuable, outdoor programming.

In 2023, we anticipate awarding between $110,000 and $140,000 in direct scholarships for deserving children to attending our summer camp and school-year programs. Additionally, we expect to provide more than $160,000 in subsidies to families above the poverty line that still need our help. No child is turned away for their family’s inability to pay, but we can’t do it without you!

Please help us raise the $300,000 we need to serve the children, families, schools and community organizations that need our support this year. As we emerge from the last two years of pandemic culture, our children and families need camp and outdoor time more than ever. Our evidenced-based programs teach values, offer opportunities for service and leadership, introduce kids to people from diverse backgrounds, and help children unplug from technology and reconnect with nature and one another.
