Run (or not!*) for RMHC at the Eugene Marathon!

Run in the footsteps of legends in the Pacific Northwest’s largest marathon, traversing through the communities of Eugene and Springfield, alongside the Willamette River, and on the same roads that the world’s best athletes have competed on for over 50 years. You’ll finish the race on the iconic, world-renowned track and experience the magic of Hayward Field as you celebrate making a life-changing difference through your fundraising and RMHC awareness efforts. This will be the most inspirational and impactful race you've ever been a part of!

Join us and make a difference!

RMHC will cover your marathon, half marathon, or 5K entry fee (exact race entry price + processing fee dependent on race selected) through April 20, 2023. By signing up through RMHC, each participant agrees to fundraise the following minimum amount associated with their selected race: $500 for the full marathon, $350 for the half marathon, and $150 for the 5K.

As a bonus for committing to fundraise for RMHC at those levels, all team members will receive:

  • Official Run for RMHC shirt and swag bag*

  • VIP race weekend experience with pre-race party (more exciting information will be coming soon regarding our full amenities package)

  • Fundraising incentives and support including a personal fundraising page, social media infographics and more!

  • Kid team captain to inspire and focus on our mission

  • Weekly tips and tricks to help with training and fundraising

To register, click the red REGISTER NOW button above. Once complete, you will automatically receive a unique URL to register for the 2023 Eugene Marathon.

Not a runner? You can still join us! Our Anti-Run Club team is for you! Sign up and support thousands of children and families that stay with us across Oregon each year while doing what you love. (Snoozing for RMHC, anyone?) Or simply make a donation!

If you have questions or concerns, please email Nonnie George, Director of Events and Engagement, at nonnie.george@rmhcoregon.org.

*If you sign up for Run for RMHC after April 17th, a swag bag and shirt are subject to availability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to run if I sign up? No way! You’re welcome to walk or roll any of the races. Or join our Anti-Run Club and create your own activity (snoozing for RMHC, anyone?).

What if I don’t want to travel to Eugene? Sign up anyway! Feel free to run, walk, or roll in your own community while still making a difference for RMHC!

Do I have to join or create a team? Nope! Feel free to sign up as an individual, joining a team is optional!

When I register to Run for RMHC, am I automatically signed up for the Eugene Marathon? No! Registering as an individual or on a team on this Run for RMHC page does NOT automatically sign you up for a race on April 29/30th. You have options!

  • Option 1: Register here as an individual or on a team to create your personalized Run for RMHC URL, and you will then be emailed a code to sign up for your desired Eugene Marathon race (5k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon - you pick!) free of charge! That’s right, RMHC covers the cost of your race admission and in return, you crush your fundraising goal with your personalized URL!

  • Option 2: You can register on this page (and have a free personalized webpage created for you!) and decide to not participate in the Eugene Marathon races at all (maybe you’re doing a 5k in your own neighborhood? Maybe you’re snoozing for RMHC 😊). In this case, simply start sharing your URL and raising life-changing funds for RMHC!

What do I get when I sign up? In addition to feeling good about making a difference for kids and families in crisis, you’ll receive lots of awesome goodies like: an official Run for RMHC shirt and swag bag, VIP race weekend experience with pre-race party, fundraising incentives and support, a kid team captain to inspire and focus on our mission, weekly tips and tricks to help with training and fundraising, and more!

Fundraising seems intimidating. How do I reach my fundraising goal? When you sign up, your personal URL will be automatically created for you, and you’ll have the opportunity to customize your page (add your photo! Edit your story to share why RMHC means so much to you!). From here, copy/paste/send your URL out via email, text, or social media to let your friends and family know the good news – you're making a difference for kids and families. And ask - will they make a donation to help you reach your goal? Good news, we also provide fundraising incentives and support along the way!

This seems sort of like your past event – RMHC Heroes. Are you doing that again this year? You’re spot on! Run for RMHC at the Eugene Marathon has replaced RMHC Heroes. That’s right, this is your chance for peer-to-peer fundraising for RMHC this year. Join us!

I have another question that’s not listed here, what do I do? Reach out to Nonnie George, Director of Events & Engagement, at nonnie.george@rmhcoregon.org or (503) 444-6299.
