Limb Difference Awareness Picnic
Join us April 18th!
Each April, in honor of Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, the Jordan Thomas Foundation proudly hosts the Limb Difference Picnic in Nashville. In partnership with local mom Grace Wright and her son Keith, who has an upper limb difference, this special gathering celebrates the strength, uniqueness, and resilience of kids and families impacted by limb loss and limb difference.
Our mission is to create a welcoming space where families can connect, children can see others like themselves, friendships can grow, and our community can come together in encouragement and joy. Through celebration, shared stories, and simple time together, we aim to foster belonging, build confidence, and remind every child and family that they are not alone.
This year, we are excited to continue our partnership with Nashville limb different content creator, April Lockhart, who will be planning a special crafting activity for the kids at the picnic. April will also be hosting additional events throughout the weekend for girls ages 4-15 with limb differences. Limb Difference Awareness Picnic
We’re excited to host this year’s Limb Difference Awareness Picnic at beautiful Frankum Farm! Nestled along the scenic Harpeth River in Kingston Springs, Frankum Farm is a peaceful, welcoming space with wide open pastures, flowing water, and big Tennessee skies. It feels like a getaway while still being easy to reach — the perfect place for our families to gather, relax, and celebrate together. This year’s picnic will be full of fun and connection, with a bounce house, lunch, and plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy. The farm’s open spaces give everyone room to play, explore, and simply be present with one another. We can’t wait to see you there for a day of fun, friendship, and fresh air at this special location!
