Meet Our Walkers

Doug Foote

Doug Foote is a firefighter at Excelsior Fire District and has served 18 years in the fire service. This is Doug’s second Miles for MnFIRE, having walked 200 miles during the 2021 inaugural event from Marietta to St. Paul. He’s looking forward to connecting with fellow firefighters along the route, and inspiring more people to ask for help when they need it and take advantage of MnFIRE’s benefits.

Kyle Bode

Kyle Bode is the health and wellness coordinator for St. Paul Fire Department. He’s also a MnFIRE instructor and peer supporter. With MnFIRE’s mission motivating him to take on this challenge, Kyle will be honoring his firefighter friend, Larry Goodman, who died from brain cancer.
