After 35 years, we are excited to have Swim Across the Sound go statewide and have the full support of Hartford HealthCare.
Each summer, swimmers cross the Long Island Sound from Port Jefferson to Captain’s Cove Seaport in Bridgeport to raise funds and awareness to provide support for cancer patients and their families with programs and services so they can focus on their health and healing. We hope you can join us in 2023!

How To Get Started
Step 1: Register for the event as a solo swimmer, team captain, or team relay member by clicking "Register To Swim" at the top of this page.
If you're looking to sign up as a volunteer or as a boat captain, go here.
Step 2: Customize your personal fundraising page and begin collecting donations from family and friends! You can also post updates to your page to keep your supporters engaged as you prepare for the swim marathon.
Step 3: Thank your donors! Be sure to follow up with your supporters and let them know how they are making an impact by providing cancer patients and their families with financial support and care.

The primary purpose is to raise funds that support the programs, initiatives, capital investments, screenings and other programs that make our community healthier and safer.
Our focus is meeting the needs of the poor and medically underserved populations in our region.
