Nik Bonitto’s Sacktober, presented by Safeway Foundation

Denver Broncos linebacker Nik Bonitto is launching his Bonitto Family Foundation and teaming with the Safeway Foundation to provide healthy food to families in need served by Denver Public Schools. Nik is asking that you join him by pledging for each sack the Broncos have during the month of October. Five fans who pledge will win a jersey signed by Nik!'

The Safeway Foundation has given the Bonitto Family Foundation a $10,000 grant that will be used to provide more healthy and fresh food to families at Denver Public Schools Community Hub Mini markets.

Over the past year, Community Hubs have supported 4,484 families, delivering over 8,000 services that promote both immediate relief and long-term stability. In March of this year, the Hubs celebrated the expansions of additional Hub Mini Markets—grocery stores located within Community Hubs that provide healthy food at no cost to DPS families. With this expansion, every DPS region now has access to a nearby grocery store, ensuring children across the district can thrive without the worry of hunger. Already, more than 1,516 families have visited the markets reinforcing our commitment that no child should go to school hungry.
