NYU Athletics - Hosts Life for Life
NYU Athletics is stepping up in a big way during NCAA Division III Week 2026, hosting Lift for Life, a high energy, community driven event in support of Uplifting Athletes and the rare disease community. The event will bring people together through friendly competition, music, games, and moments that remind us why this work matters.
Throughout the week, NYU student athletes will be all in. This is more than an event, it is a hands on experience with purpose. Athletes will engage directly with the mission, working alongside peers to drive awareness, advocacy, and real impact for families affected by rare disease. It is about using sport as a platform to connect, lead, and serve.
Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of those impacted by rare disease. Through Team UA, its signature fundraising and advocacy initiative, student athletes across the country are leading efforts that show these challenges are bigger than any one team or campus and are best tackled together.
NYU Athletics is proud to shine a light on rare diseases and stand alongside Uplifting Athletes to ensure that no one faces this fight alone.
Getting involved is simple. Supporters can give directly to the Team UA fundraising page, helping fuel the team’s efforts and make a meaningful difference for families who need it most.
Thank you for showing up, stepping in, and being part of something bigger.
