Our Mission
The purpose of the event is to raise funds for a gear loaning kit for our newest members. As purchasing all the necessary gear can be an expensive endeavor, we hope our kit can help offset some of the costs. We are excited to report that our bootcamp, which has been running for one month, has grown our league by 24 members, bringing us to a total of 55, including 6 volunteers.
Ghost Fleet Roller Derby (GFRD) is a grassroots Roller Derby league based out of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Completely run and organized by our members, we are a true “for the skaters, by the skaters” organization.
How it works

Estimate how many laps you’ll complete during the Skate-A-Thon. Whether it's 10, 50, or 500, there's no amount too big or small.
Reach out to friends and family to ask if they’ll support your efforts by donating to you! They can make a pledge per lap or donate a flat amount to your efforts.
