Overton Park 99

99 Holes For 1 Great Cause

$21,659Raised of $100,000

Our Mission

In the heart of Memphis lies a 9-hole course with a big mission. What started as a wild idea among a couple of passionate local golfers has turned into a powerful movement to grow the game of golf and give back to the city they love.

The Overton Park 99 is a grassroots fundraiser where participants walk 99 holes—yes, walk—around the Overton Park 9 golf course in a single day. It’s not just about endurance; it’s about making an impact. Every step, swing, and blister supports three incredible causes: the Overton Park Conservancy, the Overton Park Junior Open, and the Loren Roberts Foundation.

This unique event blends grit, community spirit, and a deep love for the game. It brings together golfers, families, and supporters to rally around Memphis' green spaces, youth development, and future champions.

Crazy? Maybe. But in Memphis, we believe in bold ideas—and walking 99 holes is just the beginning.

A Message From The Overton Park Conservancy About Your Impact

Last year, your support enabled OP9 to keep its junior golf program free of charge, introducing young players to the game at no cost to them. You also helped fund high-level maintenance, keeping the greens beautiful even with the ups and downs of Memphis weather. By supporting OP99, you kept the Overton Park Junior Open free for all 160 participants, ages 7-16. As one of the nation’s oldest golf tournaments for kids, the OPJO has given thousands of young golfers a memorable experience of the game.

Your donations also allowed Overton Park Conservancy to provide environmental education programming for local students, introducing them to the priceless resource of the Old Forest State Natural Area. Students from local schools were able to come to the park and enjoy art activities, scavenger hunts, and service learning projects that taught them about the wildlife of our area.

This year, your support will allow Overton Park 9 to conduct major ground-moving and drainage improvements on the course. Overton Park Conservancy needs funds to complete a new trail in a section of the Old Forest that has been fenced since the 1980s, with a goal of opening this area to the community in the fall
