100 Holes for Music Education
Playing golf to support free guitar classes in Arizona’s public schools
$53,308Raised of $35,000
How It Works
On May 25th, our golfers are putting their skills and endurance to the test. From 6am to 12pm, they’ll be playing 100 holes to support Lead Guitar, a music education nonprofit that establishes permanent classical guitar classes in underfunded public schools with low access to the arts. Golfers will be playing 3 balls for 33 holes plus 1 ball for 1 hole, so their task won’t be easy. But we know they can do it with your help!

Why Support Lead Guitar
It’s a fact. Students who participate in school music programs have better attendance, make better grades, and are more likely to attend college and have more lucrative careers than students who do not participate in school music programs. Using music and a relatable instrument, Lead Guitar students learn technique, music-reading, theory, performance skills, and ensemble-playing. They develop discipline, self-esteem, and the ability to work as a team—attributes that help them realize success throughout their lives.
By developing a program that mirrors the curricular integrity of the best band and orchestra programs but appeals to students not traditionally drawn to those programs, Lead Guitar offers all of the benefits of a high-quality instrumental music education to thousands of students who would otherwise not receive them. Lead Guitar currently serves more than 4,000 students each year in 68 schools across five different states, and your contribution will help us as we continue to grow.
