The West Suburban Humane Society invites animal lovers of all ages to Barkapalooza 2026, a lively and heartwarming day filled with wagging tails, delicious eats, great music, and one powerful goal: to raise $100,000 for homeless dogs and cats. Now celebrating its 33rd year, this pet-friendly, family-friendly community fundraiser returns to Lisle Community Park on Sunday, September 27, and promises more fun and impact than ever before.
Whether you walk, run, or just come for the fun, your support helps save lives. All proceeds from Barkapalooza directly benefit the rescue, care, and adoption of animals in need. You can also make a deeper impact by signing up as a Volunteer Fundraiser or joining us as a sponsor or vendor. Every dollar raised brings us one step closer to our $100,000 fundraising goal — and gives more pets the second chances they deserve.

About Barkapalooza
Our Rescue Run is a 5K chip-timed walk/run (eligible for time awards – overall and by age group). All Rescue Run participants will receive a performance fit shirt and finisher medal, as well as entry to Rescue Fest.
Our Waggin' Tails Walk is a 1 mile walk for families and crowd-friendly pets. All Wagging Tails walk participants will be eligible for costume awards, as well as entry to Rescue Fest.
Rescue Fest includes a full day of family and pet-friendly activities and giveaways, including Food Trucks, Pet Contests, Rescue Groups, Agility Training, Nail Trimming, Pooch Smooch AND MORE!!!
All Volunteer Fundraisers who raise $100 or more will receive free entry into Rescue Fest, an event t-shirt, and additional fundraising incentives!
