Grace O’Neill

Hi everyone! My name is Grace O’Neill, and I’m a senior on the Women’s Basketball team at Drexel University. This season, I am participating in Assisting Others, a Drexel women’s basketball initiative where players use their on-court performance to raise money for meaningful causes.

I’m dedicating my campaign to Special Olympics Pennsylvania in honor of my cousin, Cali, who was born with Down Syndrome a little over a year ago. Special Olympics gives individuals with intellectual disabilities the chance to train, compete, and experience the same sense of community that sports have brought to my life.

Supporters can make a one-time donation or pledge an amount per rebound I record this season. For example, pledging $2 per rebound would equal a $300 donation at the end of the season if I get 150 rebounds total. Over the past three seasons, I have averaged about five rebounds per game and about 165 rebounds per season. Every dollar will go directly to Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

Through this fundraiser, I hope to help more athletes experience the same confidence and growth that athletics has given me. Thank you for your consideration to support in helping make every rebound count even more this season.
