Ainsley Schwartzkopf’s Why

People often ask me, “Why do you participate in October Saves?”, and I used to not know the answer to that question. Lately, I’ve been thinking, and I do this challenge for many reasons.

My first reason is because this challenge saves people’s lives. In the end all the money we are able to collect goes to a good cause. In life something I’ve learned is even if you don’t like someone you still have to treat them the way you would anyone else. This challenge has taught me a great amount of empathy and caring for others.

My second reason is because I have lost many friends and family to cancer, and if I can help save others the way I wish I could have saved them, then I would do anything.

Lastly, I do this challenge because I can help others by doing something I love! So, I do this challenge for many reasons.
