I'm excited to be a part of Feminist Bird Club's Birdathon for Congo! Our birding community is coming together to celebrate the inclusive nature of bird joy while fundraising for Friends of the Congo (FOTC), a nonprofit that amplifies, resources and empowers communities at the frontlines of the climate crisis in Congo.

I added 10 more species yesterday and 4 more today. Didn't get to do the Saturday birding I'd hoped, so I'm a little under my goal, at 60 species total. (Which is a bummer, because last weekend for Global Big Day, I went to 9 locations and got 74 species in Durham County!)
