Snuck in 4 miles and thoroughly enjoying this shift in the weather. Didn't quite reach my 80 mile goal but am really happy with how much hike-a-thon pushed me to get out and get moving with our dogs this summer and fall. Feeling inspired to keep the momentum going strong into winter!

This morning's hike took us to Tillamook State Forest with Aaro and Tula. The trail had us winding through the forest, gravel roads and atv territory. University Falls still has water cascading down and I bet it is even more impressive earlier on in the season. We came across wildflowers, scat, heard lots of shots fired and saw some beautiful spots along the way. This trail was perfect for what we were looking for. Dog-friendly, close-in, decent mileage and a moderate challenge. Happy hiking, party people and paws.
