My Mission
Hello family and friends!
I am extremely excited to participate this year in the October Saves Goalie Challenge. This is a community driven charity event that supports a number of cancer research initiatives. Every October, hockey goalies of all ages collect pledges and donations for every save they make throughout the month.
Cancer touches many lives every year personally it has touched my immediate family, my hockey family, my neighborhood family and many friends over the years so I have decided this is something I would like to do to help support all those we’ve lost and all those still fighting!
October Saves is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Every dollar counts!

Last weekend the team went 2-0 with one non league and one league win! I was extra excited that my brother who also plays hockey was able to come to my game to watch (usually our schedules always conflict). Picture below of the two of us!
This journey of raising money for such an incredible cause and proudly supporting Goalies Saves has truly been an honor!

The weekend of the 21st we were away at the Haunted Shootout tournament in Ma where we made it to the Championship game but lost. The team played great all weekend and while we would have loved to come home with the 1st place medal still very proud of the team bringing home the 2nd!

Good morning and happy Friday!
As we are heading into our third weekend and we realized we didn’t provide an update from week 2. Another strong weekend by the team going 2-0 on the weekend and a tiny bit more action at the net for Madison and her goalie partner seeing about 26 saves on the weekend for Madison. This upcoming weekend they have 3 games lined up all going to be high level tough competition.
We wanted to say Thank you again to everyone who has donated to this cause Madison set out with a target of raising $3000 which she has exceeded already and we are only half way through the month so she has now set a new target of $5000. To date the October Saves Goalie Challenge has raised just shy of $320,000 just in the US alone and another $15,000 in Canada.
Again thank you for all your support! Let’s kick cancers butt and let’s go Preds!

Week one under way and our team is wearing our new purple and pink jerseys with our sticks taped pink, pink laces and some new helmet stickers to support breast cancer research as well as hockey fights cancer. The team did great this weekend going 2-0 but not a ton of action down at the nets this weekend hoping for more action next week to keep earning money for this fantastic cause!
