Help us help families remain stably housed!
Family Promise of Southwestern Pennsylvania has sheltered 650 families, including nearly 1300 children. While we are not able to shelter families due to the closure of our host churches, we continue to provide support to families in danger of losing their housing. Our average assistance is $1000.00 per family.

Saturday night I 'slept' in my car, sort of. I stayed in my car from 9pm to 6am to bring the issue of family homelessness to light. It was anything but comfortable. I couldn't imagine what it would be like if I had had children with me. I am VERY GRATEFUL to all of you for donating! Your money will go directly to families in danger of losing their homes. YOU have made a difference in the lives of the families we serve! It's not too late to donate if you haven't already...

I am so grateful to everyone who has donated so far! I am more than halfway to my goal. Please consider adding a link to this fundraiser to your Facebook/Twitter accounts to help me make it to the TOP!!
Family homelessness is not as rare as it should be. No child should have to wonder where they will sleep and no parent should have to look into the eyes of their child and have to explain why they have to move from place to place. In Allegheny County the numbers of homeless families increased from 2019 to 2020. Those numbers will surely increase again in 2021 as the moratorium for eviction is lifted. Help us keep families stably housed by donating to this very worthy cause!

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.
EMPOWERING COMPASSIONATE INDIVIDUALS
The issue can seem overwhelming and individuals may feel powerless to change the lives of people in poverty. As Family Promise volunteers, more than 200,000 people have found a way.
Working together, they provide temporary housing, meals, and services to more than 125,000 family members annually. They mentor at-risk families. They teach financial literacy. They help find jobs and affordable housing. They create programs to meet specific needs in their communities. And they advocate for public policies that alleviate poverty and promote the economic stability of low-income families.
OUR VISION
Our vision is a nation in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future.
