Cookies for Kids' Cancer

To make this adventure extra special, Gandhi and the Morning Show Crew are using this trip to raise funds for pediatric cancer research through the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer Good Cookie Challenge.

The Good Cookie Challenge is a summer-long initiative of Cookies for Kids' Cancer, a national 501(c)3 non-profit that is committed to raising funds for research to develop new, improved, and less toxic treatments for pediatric cancer — the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. The Challenge was created as a way to get you moving this summer in honor of the children diagnosed with cancer, every day.

Support Gandhi and Cookies for Kids' Cancer by choosing to "sponsor" her miles driven. You can do this by clicking "pledge" and making either a one-time donation or pledging a dollar amount per mile of her estimated 2,500 mile journey.

Here are some ways your donations will help fund pediatric cancer research:

• $25 - funds one month's use of a pipet, the most used laboratory tool
• $50 - funds one month's worth of the critical lab supplies
• $100 - funds one-hour of a scientist's work
• $250 - funds a year's worth of pipet use for a lab
• $500 - funds a year's worth of critical lab supplies
• $1000 - funds 10 hours of a scientist's work
• $2000 - funds genetic finger printing for one child
• $3500 - matches the government’s allotment for a child in a Phase 1 Clinical Trial
