In 2017, professional soccer player Austin da Luz saw the LGBTQI+ community in his state come under attack, and started Playing for Pride as a way for professional soccer players to show their support for LGBTQI+ inclusion in and through sport.

Playing for Pride brings together athletes, teams, and leagues to support Athlete Ally's mission of making sports inclusive for the LGBTQI+ community.

I'm honored to begin my 7th season of Playing for Pride. I look forward to the opportunity to use our sport and the individual/team success of our club in Austin to raise some money to help support an amazing cause.

For 2023:

Every team goal in May will be worth $10

Every team win will be worth $20

And finally, Every shutout by Austin FC will be another $10.

I'd love any of the Austin faithful to match my donations and there might even be a couple giveaways at the end of the month.
