Step Up, Get Active, Give!

I am “stepping up” to support Healthy LifeStars and their programs to prevent childhood obesity by motivating and educating kids to live active healthy lives.

Wellbeing is something very near and dear to me. Outside of working at IHSM, I am a certified group fitness instructor and yoga teacher. I believe working together for a healthier lifestyle makes it easier and holds you accountable.

When I'm not instructing classes, I like to coordinate groups to hike 14ers in Colorado.

Health starts with one person making a decision-a step forward. The hardest step is the first one. Will you “step up” with me and be a part of the Englewood, Colorado team?

I am asking for your support in a week-long virtual StepAThon™. This fun and friendly competition challenges individuals, families, and teams to get active and raise money for a healthy future for our kids!

So, grab a friend, family, kiddos, doggies-and take a walk. Even 10 minutes a day will create a change.

Feeling sluggish, drink a glass of water and step outside for fresh air. 'Stepping up' supports not only our physical health, but also our mental well being.

Join me for a fun healthy week as we support an incredible cause!

About Healthy LifeStars

Healthy LifeStars® is leading the fight to put an end to childhood obesity by building a healthier future for families and our communities.

Unfortunately, two-thirds of kids in the U.S. don't get enough physical activity, which has led to one in three kids being overweight or obese, and for the first time, ever youth life expectancy is five years shorter than their parents.
