I had a great May and really enjoyed all the birds I saw and heard over the month! I was happy to get my final bird today on May 31st. I only needed one more bird to get to 180. I ended up in the rain at Hammonasset and found 3 Redknot among a bunch of Ruddy Turnstones.

I’m super happy to say that the BIG DAY helped me surpass my goal. I was at 140 and with the Big Day I am at 174. Still 4 less than last year and I have some birds still I think I can hopefully find. Savannah Sparrow and both Cuckoos! Not many photos from the big day but the Sandhill Crane was my favorite.
