I've had the great fortune of supporting the 4EveryKid program from a distance these past few years.

In that time, I've seen firsthand the impact a new pair of shoes can have on a kid. A good pair of shoes is something most of us take for granted and don't think twice about, but for the almost 1.5 million kids in the US experiencing homelessness, shoes are often the last "essential need" addressed. And good shoes are an essential need. For a kid experiencing homelessness, good shoes mean greater confidence and dignity, participation in sports and other activities, and in many cases, more excitement to go to school and learn. 4EveryKid is growing to meet this (growing) need one kid at a time and one pair of shoes at a time.

This year I'm excited to lace up and participate in the Race4EveryKid. Please consider joining me in any way that feels good to you - run, walk, jog, bike, or swim a few miles with me, make a pledge or gift, set a challenge goal for your own activity - whatever. It all helps. And be sure to tell everyone you know about all the great work Soles4Souls is doing.

This year, Soles4Souls has set a goal to raise enough money to get brand new, brand name sneakers to 10,000 kids that need them. I'm hoping our team can come together to support at least 50 kids.
