WE DID IT! The miles have been run, the laps have ben swum, and the funds have been raised. With your help we earned $233,000.

Do you know how many faces will have a smile with those new athletic shoes you helped to provide? 12,500 pair because you share my passion to help every kid experiencing homelessness to have a new pair of shoes.

Over 12,500 kids will have shoes to try out for the basketball team or become a cheerleader. Over 12,500 kids will start school proud and ready to learn because they will fit in and be able to participate in PE. Over 12,500 kids will hold their heads up higher with pep in their step. Over 12,500 kids might be receiving their first new pair of athletic shoes in their lives. All of these kids right in our backyards around the U.S.

I was reminded that I didn’t send a final thank you as donations trickled in over the past weeks due to busy lives and schedules!

I am on my way home from Guatemala after working in a village and distributing 200 pairs of shoes to children who have so little that many are barefoot or wearing winter boots in 100+ degrees. This is a different program than the funds we raise for the U.S. in “The Race4EveryKid”. In this arm of the S4S mission, we accept random donations and various styles of stock overruns for kids in the poorest countries. The bottom-line, kids living in poverty is a global crisis.

With your help I will keep swinging until the game is over.
