So I'm sitting in my car before I get out for my Thursday night Roller League game in Alexandria, VA, and realize I need to post about the two games I played in Tuesday evening. The first game I played was unexpected as the team's goalie didn't show up...so I was asked to sub for that game as I walked from my car to Rush Rink. I did, but didn't get to stretch one bit. Sadly I gave up 7 goals in that game with making 18 saves.
I had better luck for my team's (Capital Punishment) game. This team plays in the District Ball Hockey League in Washington DC. I'm very fortunate to play on a team that doesn't give up even when down by a goal or two early on. With a total of 22 saves, we were able to win 7-4 and remain the only undefeated team in that league.

Had one game for Sunday with the DCHL Rec League Mad Dogs against the always dangerous Puck Dragons. With a great team effort, my team was able to win 5-2 with 19 saves in the books.

This year's campaign started not in the DC area, but just outside of Philadelphia for the 8th Annual Stick It To Cancer Co-Ed Ironman Tournament on Saturday, October 4th. In three games of 10-minute running clock games I was able to block 34 shots total while going 1-2 in the tourney. Game results below:
