Why I'm Walking for Heart Failure

I know firsthand the challenges that come with battling advanced heart disease. Three years ago, I received the ultimate gift—a new heart—and with it, a second chance at life. Along the way, I also overcame strokes and the many hurdles that come with heart failure.

The Heart Brothers have been an incredible source of support for me and my family through their Heart Brothers House, support groups, and other invaluable services. That’s why I’m so excited to bring The Heart Brothers and Teleflex together for this year’s 5K! Team Teleflex is proud to champion their mission and help provide critical resources to heart failure patients and their families.

A successful run! Ursula and I enjoyed a beautiful run on the Lowell River Walk!

I am so happy to be able to give back to an organization that has done much to help my family through a difficult time while I was at Tufts Medical Center waiting for my heart transplant. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be able to give back so they can help people just like me.
