GVSU Women's Basketball

GVSU Women’s Basketball is proud to continue its ongoing support of the Play4Kay initiative, honoring the fight against cancers affecting women. Over the past several seasons, our program has participated in Play4Kay efforts to raise awareness and show support—and this year, we’re taking the next step by actively fundraising with a goal of donating $1,000 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Our Play4Kay game will take place on Saturday, February 14 at 1:00 PM as we host Wisconsin–Parkside. Fans will have multiple opportunities to get involved and give back, including donation pledges, special edition GVSU Women’s Basketball pink t-shirts for sale, and other fundraising initiatives.

Point Pledging

This year, you can make an even bigger impact by pledging a donation per point scored during our Play4Kay game. The Lakers will host Wisconsin–Parkside, and by participating in the pledging fundraiser, every basket will help support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Fans are invited to pledge $0.25, $0.50, $1, or even $5 per point scored. The GVSU Women’s Basketball currently averages 80.2 points per game — meaning your pledge can quickly turn into meaningful support for a great cause.
