Support my 'Today We Ride' Ski and Snowboard Challenge!

The Downhill Derelicts are excited to once again ride to promote awareness and accessibility in adaptive sports and collaborate with the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program, a dedicated non-profit committed to breaking down financial, physical, and social barriers for individuals with disabilities.

Over the past seven years, we’ve proudly driven awareness and raised more than $320,000 to adaptive sports initiatives. For 2025, our ambitious goal is to raise $45,000. I’m reaching out to ask for your support as I compete in the ‘Today We Ride’ fundraiser challenge, aiming to raise the most funds among 41 other skiers and snowboarders. You can sponsor my efforts by pledging any amount for every 100 vertical feet I ride during the five-day event and I have to EARN your pledge with sweat equity, sore legs, and grit.

Alternatively, you can make a one-time flat donation. Please note that one-time contributions are immediately tax-deductible, while pledges will be calculated and effective at the campaign's conclusion (March 22nd). Regardless of how you choose to support, I promise to earn every dollar with dedication and hard work, knowing that our collective efforts will positively impact the lives of adaptive participants, their families, and communities.

For our U.S.-based donors, your contributions count toward federal gift-giving goals and corporate matching programs, allowing you to amplify your impact! Donations will be processed through the Downhill Derelicts Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the U.S.

Meet Ella...

Ella is 11-years old and lives with a rare genetic disorder and non-verbal ASD. However, neither of those prevent Ella from enjoying time on the snow and ice with the help of adaptive programs and coaches. Ella loves to ice skate and has recently started skiing with the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program.

The Downhill Derelicts are over-the-moon excited to meet Ella and her family this coming Sunday at our annual opening ceremonies. Her father, Anthony, will be sharing with us the impact that adaptive sports have on Ella and her entire family and we can't wait to hear more about her.
