Team Purple

Celia and I had a busy week! Cool temperatures and sunny days worked in our favor. Biking, gardening, walking, and generally being outside ruled! The challenge may be over, but we can’t wait to keep doing more biking, more hanging out, and having a great time!
Thank you for supporting us in the Tour deCookie! We wish all parents and kids were able to be as fortunate as Celia and I are, but we hope we have done our small part to help improve kids’ lives.

Well, this week didn’t turn out to be so conducive to bike riding. Rain and wind held us back a bit, but I had a chance to do quite a bit of walking while waiting for the kids during activities and appointments. Movement and exercise being the key, I considered that a success. Plus, I got to explore a bit of Downtown Bethesda and take note of the art and oases I had never really noticed before (see photos.) Celia, of course, did most of her physical activity while on a horse. Hopefully next week will be clear skies and smooth roads!

Thank you to everyone who has donated to our team so far! Celia and I went on our first ride today! It’s a beautiful day out, so it was the perfect opportunity to get the feel of being on wheels again. I haven’t been on a bike in at least 5 years, and I was afraid to get too ambitious, but it felt great!! Forgot to take a picture when we set out, but we were still smiling when we got back 😁
