Hello! My name is Hailey Bui and I am so grateful for what my time at Oakland Strokes has given me.
As a junior, I still remember the first steps that i took onto the boathouse pavement during my first day of novice year. I was nervous, of course, but my nerves instantly disappeared once i spoke to the girls in my novice group. These girls would quickly become my closest friends, and overtime—my family.
Oakland Strokes is a family that i have been a part of since my freshman year of high school. It is a community that i hadn’t seen anywhere else. The people and opportunities here are things that I will cherish forever. There is no feeling that is better than being with my closest friends on the water. With your donation, we can pass this feeling onto the next generation of rowers! Donations towards new boats, financial aid, and new equipment will only be possible with the help of you! Thank you!!
