Why I do this
I first participated in this event in 2021, which was when I wrote this post:

Sadly, since doing the research for that, things haven't gotten much better, and they really need to get better. So here we are, again, doing what we can to make that happen. Raising funds helps, a lot. And in this case, raising awareness helps just as much because just how bad things can get for veterinarians isn't really common knowledge.
So if you can throw a few bucks to NOMV, that would be tremendous. If you can tell a few friends that the organization exists, and a little about what they do, that would also be tremendous.
And maybe someday it really will be not one more vet.

For someone whose intake notes included "if no improvement in mobility rec humane euthanasia" because he was completely nonambulatory 2 months ago, this little guy is making great progress. He only fell over 3 or 4 times during this walk, and was perfectly happy to pick himself up and just keep going ❤️
