I'm helping A Leg To Stand On (ALTSO) move 2,500 miles and raise $75,000 because mobility provides access to education, future employment, and the chance to break the poverty cycle; but it also provides the little things in life that every child deserves.

How You Can Help.
Move with me or support our movements with a donation. All donations will help provide critical mobility care to children in emerging countries.
Join my team. Help us move 2,500 miles in 5 days.
Pledge per mile. Make a contribution based on the number of miles a team member will move.
One-time donation. Any amount helps provide life-changing care. $100 provides a prosthetic foot; $200 a custom fit orthotic brace; $350 a Joshi prosthetic limb; $600 an appropriately fitted wheelchair.
Why we #MoveForALTSO.
Mobility is more than movement— it’s playing with your friends, scoring the winning goal, and celebrating your high school graduation. 106 million children live with untreated disabilities in emerging countries, but 95% cannot afford care. Without care, 90% will never attend school. 100% will need continued treatment.
ALTSO provides free prosthetic limbs, orthotic braces and appropriately fitted wheelchairs to CoolKids from birth to their 26th birthday, providing the foundation needed to break the poverty cycle: independence, education, and future gainful employment. Since 2003, ALTSO has transformed the lives of over 24,000 CoolKids.

On Tuesday we enjoyed the beautiful spring🌼 weather with a long walk at a park on the river!
It struck me that so much of our family time is spent at the park 🛝, strolling the neighborhood🏡, taking a walk by the river🦆- things that are only possible because of our independent mobility.
I’m grateful for this time to reflect on mobility and all that it truly provides access too.
Here’s to celebrating 🎉 the thousands of lives changed by ALTSO, and renewed commitment 💪 to fighting for those who still wait. 💙

Meet Sokny.
When we first met Sokny, she was just six years old, yet she already faced a future filled with challenges. Sokny, born with a congenital disability affecting both of her legs, was housebound. Her parents could not afford the prosthetic limbs she needed to walk, making her only form of mobility crawling or being carried by her parents.
We provided Sokny with two prosthetic limbs, and committed to covering her care as she grew. Now 15 years old, Sokny is in high school and dreams of becoming an accountant. Sokny’s future is brimming with the transformative opportunities mobility creates, just like every child deserves.
