Join me to support kids with cancer
My journey with Candlelighters started in 2022 when I was encouraged to give cycling a try with the Ride for a Child team. With such a great cause behind Ride for a Child, I couldn't say no. The experience transformed my life in many ways; not only did I discover a love for cycling, I became deeply drawn to the mission of Candlelighters and the spirit of the RFAC team. It is truly a gift to have the opportunity to connect with local kids who are bravely fighting cancer and to see the impact of Candlelighters on their journey.
Each summer, I look forward to the opportunity to ride, spread awareness, and fundraise alongside the rest of this wonderful team to support children battling cancer. It is truly the highlight of my year and a privilege to wear my honored child's name on my jersey. This year I am riding for Team Azeena alongside both of my parents! Azeena was diagnosed with stage IV Hepatoblastoma. Despite liver cancer, she is a vibrant, joyful, six year old who loves cheese pizza, Hello Kitty, and jump-rope. I am excited to represent her, tell her story, and celebrate her strength on the ride this year. If you are in a position to give, please consider donating to support the mission of Candlelighters. From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, Candlelighters provide programs that meet the needs of the whole family facing childhood cancer. Your support provides:
$25: Helps fill our hospital food pantries, providing access to quick, nutritious meals for families while at their child's bedside during long hospital stays.
$100: Pays one essential household bill for families with a child in treatment struggling to meet their basic needs.
$250: Fills the hospital pantry for one week at OHSU Doernbecher and Randall Children's Hospitals, providing access to quick, nutritious meals for families while at their child's bedside during long hospital stays.
