Making Saves for Grandma!
Dear Friends and Family,
This will be my 3rd year participating in October Saves. At first, I did all my fundraising in memory of my Am-ma (Grandma) who we lost in 2021 to cancer. She had 3 different kinds, including breast cancer. However over the last two years, I have met so many people who have been affected by this horrible disease. This year I'm fundraising with so many of these people in mind. I'm fundraising for all of our friends and family who may have someone they lost or who is currently fighting cancer. Please consider supporting me as I work to make saves to fight cancer!

Tonight we had a night off hockey so we added the names of all those shared by our donors to my shirt. As we add these names it makes me so sad to see how many people know a loved one who has fought this horrible disease. It doesn’t matter what form it’s in- breast cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer- it still hurts to know how many have struggled. Parents, grandparents, spouses, friends, kids… it’s just never fair. I am proud to wear a shirt with my grandma’s name next to other fighters. I will keep raising money so that someday our list of names will get shorter. Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far!
