Making Saves for Grandma!

Dear Friends and Family,

This will be my 3rd year participating in October Saves. At first, I did all my fundraising in memory of my Am-ma (Grandma) who we lost in 2021 to cancer. She had 3 different kinds, including breast cancer. However over the last two years, I have met so many people who have been affected by this horrible disease. This year I'm fundraising with so many of these people in mind. I'm fundraising for all of our friends and family who may have someone they lost or who is currently fighting cancer. Please consider supporting me as I work to make saves to fight cancer!

Dear friends and family,

We are halfway through October and we are almost halfway to my goal. I added 19 saves from my game today. It was a shut out for me and a win for my team.

The past few weeks I have been very busy. We have been spending all our free time collecting donations at Bagel Barn in my hometown and setting up a table at the rink to sell tshirts and raffle tickets. Even though it takes up our time, I know how important it is. I have met so many people who all have personal stories about how cancer has affected them or their loved ones. It makes it so important that I give up my weekends to raise money. I am grateful to my family for spending this time with me. We get up early and spend most of the weekends fundraising.

Next weekend I have a showcase so we will be away. I won’t be able to fundraise but I will be able to make saves. I will work my hardest!

I am also grateful for you. I appreciate your donations but I’m hoping you might be able to help more- maybe you could share my fundraising webpage or buy a tshirt or raffle ticket (see my story for links). Or maybe you could give a little more. Every dollar helps. I really want to raise $22,000 again as I know it will help many people. I can collect donations until November 10th.

Thank you all so much for your support so far.

Ayrton
