Hey there,

I'm excited to be a part of this Female Bird Day Birdathon! Our community is coming together to celebrate and highlight female birds as part of Female Bird Day, while simultaneously fundraising for another often overlooked and vulnerable population in our community—those seeking asylum.

I saw a purple finch female and male pair flying from branch to branch together. That was a highlight. And so many starlings, surely many of them are female..

Today I saw female Brown Thrashers, a Wren, many Gray Catbirds - some female, many Robins - some female. I also heard Chestnut Sided Warblers, but unclear what a female sounds like. Still looking to see a female!
