By day, I'm CCL's VP of Field Operations. But outside of my work life, I love spending every moment I can outdoors with friends and family. And one of the traditions I engage in annually is the American Birkebeiner, the largest cross-country ski race on the continent, right in my own backyard (or rather about an hour away).

Throughout the month of December I'll be putting my Birkie training to good use to raise money for climate action! The big race takes place in late February and will be 50 kilometers in total. So I'm aiming to train by skiing at least 150 total kilometers throughout CCL's annual Year End Fundraiser campaign (Dec. 2 - 31). As a result, if you'd like to support both my training as well as our collective nonpartisan bridge-building climate advocacy, thanks for pledging to donate!

Pledges will likely translate to:

• 10 cents per kilometer skied = total donation of $15 (if I complete 150 kilometers skied, as planned)

• 50 cents per kilometer skied = total donation of $75

• One dollar per kilometer skied = total donation of $150

You get the idea! I might end up doing fewer kilometers skied because life is busy with family and work. But fair warning — I also might do more because skiing is a wonderful outlet and now I have a great excuse to spend more time training. Pledge wisely :)
