I've learned so much about brain aneurysms & how fortunate I am that mine was found incidentally - meaning they were looking for something else & happened to find it randomly. Though my aneurysm didn’t cause my issues as Ironman Wisconsin, it definitely impacted my life. I am lucky that mine was found, clipped, and is basically “gone.” Others who find out they have an aneurysm when it’s rupturing are not always so lucky - often dying or living with reduced abilities. This organization's mission to help with cerebral vascular research is very important to me and I'm proud to help them so there can be more like me who catch their aneurysms early & can go on to run 100 miles or whatever they choose to do.
