Team Captain of The Lookers

Support Our Fundraiser & The Palomarin Field Station

I am thrilled to be participating with Palo's Team, The Lookers, in Point Blue's 2025 Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon! We are raising funds for Point Blue and specifically, for any donors who specify this, for the Palomarin Field Station. We rely on donors like you to support our bird & other ecological studies, early-career training, and outreach.

The goal is to raise funds by identifying as many bird species as possible in a 24-hour period between September 15 and October 15, while adhering to our motto Bird Hard, Stay Focused, and Look Good! Please consider helping me and our team members reach our fundraising goal by making a flat donation or by pledging a dollar amount per bird seen, and designating your gift to Palo!

Thank you for your generous support of our team. To learn more about Point Blue's Palomarin Field Station, visit our website at https://www.pointblue.org/our-work/keystone-datasets/#palomarin-field-station.

Make a donation online by clicking "donate" above (please designate your gift to Palo!), or mail a check made out to Point Blue Conservation Science to ATTN: Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon, Point Blue Conservation Science, 3820 Cypress Dr STE 11, Petaluma, CA 94954 (and please include the name of the birder or team you are supporting in the memo line, and "for Palomarin" if you are designating your gift to the field station).

Please note: If you would like to make a per-species pledge, please select a team member's individual page.

Our Lookers team, and our virtual offshoots, had a terrific time birding! We had 128 species for the West Marin Palo Team (see https://ebird.org/tripreport/414300 for the bird list - included in the 128 is the Dowitcher sp. listed under "other taxa"). Our virtual offshoots, led by Mark Dettling and Autumn Iverson, counting in Michigan and Sonoma County, added 44 more species to the total Lookers list (putting our total-total number, albeit not the one most donors are supporting us at, at 172 species). Grateful to all our supporters, and our counters!
